THE WINTER CRUSADE CHALLENGE

This November until the end of February we want you to join us in our store on a Crusade... A Winter Crusade, which will ensure you get your perfect Christmas Gift AND participate in one or more of our activities!

We have sworn the following oaths:

- To make sure that we help every Hobbyist choose and receive the most awesome Games Workshop Christmas presents on 25th December.

- To provide a wide variety of modelling, painting and gaming hobby activities to help you, the hobbyist, get the most out of your models and hobby supplies.

- To help your loved ones and relatives purchase YOUR perfect Christmas gift on our Gift Buyers Day on 12th December.

- And finally, to finish things off in style, we will be running a hobby camp early in the New Year, culminating with the Winter Crusade Grand Finale Weekend on 20th February where you, our fellow Crusaders will be rewarded with a unique Crusaders Badge and Certificate.

We have provided them with an armoury to help you:

- The Winter Crusade Collectors' Cards. A unique army builder and activity planner that will help you choose your perfect Christmas present and also come along to our modelling, painting and gaming activities that will help you get the most out of those purchases.

- Wish Lists. A personalised list that you can leave in the store to point your gift buyers in exactly the right direction.

- Gift Guides. Pick up a free Gift Guide which includes a collection of the biggest and best Christmas gift ideas.

So, what do you need to do?

All you need to do is get into our store today and the staff there will help you fill out your own unique Winter Crusade Collectors' Card, a Wish List that you can show to all your loved ones and make sure you get what you REALLY want for Christmas, and a handful of Gift Buyers invite cards to tell those loved ones exactly where to go!

Here is just a sample of what might be on offer in our store...

Gaming Activities: Battle tactics, Apocalypse games, doubles tournaments, War of The Ring mega battles, Warhammer leagues, special scenarios, 'Winner Stays On', 'Challenge the staff member'.

Painting Activities: Base-coating using Foundation paints, using washes, highlighting techniques, painting flesh, details, making bases look real, painting metal, tank painting, tattoos and painting competitions.

Modelling Activities: Basic assembly, weapon and head swaps, conversions, battle damage, assembling large kits, scenic bases, modelling terrain.

Gameboard Activities: If you get one of our amazing Gameboards for Christmas we will show you how to paint it and flock it in the style you choose, help build your table scenery and then paint it so that your Gameboard is the envy of your friends.

Beginners Sessions: If you are just starting out and have just got your first boxed game we will teach you how to assemble your models, paint them and pick up battle winning tactics. If you just want to find out what all the fuss is about, these sessions are perfect at finding out the basics or painting, modelling and gaming.

Managers Specials: We also run games and activities that you just cannot do at home or have never even dreamed of. Sign up for these 'not to be missed' events!

So all you have to do is:

1. Get into GameShack as soon as you can
2. Pick up a Winter Crusade Collectors Card
3. Speak to the staff to find out about events and activities going on in-store
4. Record them on your card so you don't forget to come along!

Our staff will also:

1. Help you choose your perfect Christmas presents
2. Fill in an in-store Wish List of exactly what you want
3. Give you some Gift Buyers invite cards to hand out to friends and family, so they know we have a wish list in-store for you!

You don’t need to sign up for all activities at once. After your first activity you will be issued with an activity sign-up sheet (if you haven’t already picked one up beforehand).  We will sign off the first activity on the sheet, and then you decide what you want to sign up for next.  Even if you find there’s something you’d like to do which is not on our published list, speak to us at the store and we will try and accommodate you – nothing is impossible!

To get you on your way, various dates throughout the Winter are designated Winter Crusade Days - check in store for details, or the activity calendar . With plenty of activities up for grabs you could be well on your way to that coveted badge there and then.  But you’ll have to work for it! Or come along to our regular sessions which are held each week.

For those attending specific activities which require specific models, these need to be either purchased on the day, or, preferably, brought along with you on the day (for example the ‘basing workshop’ is intended to help participants base their own models in order to get the most out of the session).
