What is the Summer Hobby Camp?
It is a Summer-long programme of activities held in-store. Just like Iron Halo. It's for all systems, all kinds of hobby activity and for all levels of experience, covering all aspects of modelling, painting and gaming. Whether you have never put together a model before or have collected, painted and played for years, there is something for everyone!
What do you have to do?
Once you have completed all your chosen activities and filled your card you will be registered to receive one of our rare Summer Crusade badges*, which will be presented at the end of the camp. But you must complete 10 activities to qualify for the badge, so don't delay, get down the store today!

For those attending specific activities which require specific models, these need to be either purchased on the day, or brought along with you on the day
Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned enthusiast - no problem, there's plenty of choices for all!
Hours of Operation :
Morning: 9:00 am - 12 am
Afternoon: 12 am - 3:00 pm and 3:00 pm - 6:00 pm
Costs:
Weekly: $225, to include lunch and snacks.
We can also offer a daily programme for those of you who cannot manage a full week. Daily: $40/day; $20/half-day, payable on the day or in advance. Advance payments can be made for several days' sessions if desired.
The cost does not include the cost of any models required for the camp. You may either bring your own models with you or purchase a model in-store.
Activities:
Beginners will be given an opportunity to build some models and get painting straight away. You'll learn the basic painting techniques and later on some handy techniques for enhancing the look of your model. You'll also learn how to use the hobby tools effectively and get some handy modelling tips. You'll get a chance to try out some of our introductory games such as Warhammer Battle for Skull Pass, Warhammer 40K Assault on Black Reach and Lord of The Rings Mines of Moria - they're a lot of fun and you'll love them!

Seasoned hobbyists can hone their skills in all areas and enjoy some of the larger battles on offer. Beat your buddy with your favourite army selection, pit your war machine against scary monsters, or join a gladiatorial combat. Maybe you just want to bring your armies along to build and paint, or make some scenery for your game board.

Registration:
Advance booking/registration is necessary since the morning sessions are outside normal working hours.
Please indicate age of person and level of experience when registering. Please note that in order to participate in many activities you will need to either bring along some models you have already purchased (for building and painting) or purchase some models on the day.
The minimum age for building/painting activities is 8 years; for gaming it is 10 years. We're sorry but we cannot accept children under these ages for our activities.
Please ensure that you bring your glues, paints and brushes along.

At the end of your chosen session, please arrange to be picked up from the store promptly, since we will have other hobbyists arriving for the following session.
And don't forget that we can offer birthday party sessions too! Just call us and we can tailor a session to your specific needs (dates subject to availability).
